Corrections policy
Verification is our product. When we get something wrong, the fix is part of the record — not a quiet edit.
The verification standard
Every story in this edition was confirmed by at least two independent publishers before publication — or it did not run. Market-research syndicators and press-release wires never count as confirmation.
1. What qualifies as a correction
A factual error in a published edition: a wrong number, date, name, attribution, or a story we ran that a primary source later contradicted. Style quibbles and opinion disagreements are noted, not corrected.
2. How to submit
Email corrections@thecoldstandard.app with the edition week (e.g. 2026-W36), the sentence in question, and — where possible — a link to the primary source. Submissions get a response within 3 business days.
3. How corrections are handled
Verified errors are fixed in the web archive within 24 hours of confirmation. The corrected sentence is marked inline, and a dated correction note is appended to the bottom of the affected edition.
4. Corrections log
Every correction is listed, per edition, in the archive. An empty corrections log is shown as empty — the absence of corrections is only meaningful if we would publish them.
5. What we never do
We never silently edit a published edition. We never delete an edition. A story that fails post-publication verification is retracted with a stated reason, not quietly removed.

Entries are added here, dated, and never removed. Each edition page carries the same log line for its own week, so a correction can be read beside the text it corrects.
